This ministry was started in 2012 with three feeding sites that provided 2,262 meals. Each succeeding year it has grown tremendously. Each weekday during the summer school recess, the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) provides a healthy meal to any child 18 and under in both Columbia and Wrightsville, a large majority of whom live below the poverty line. All meals are prepared in our certified kitchen at Columbia Presbyterian Church.
The Columbia Shelter is now located at our main location, Columbia Presbyterian Church, 360 Locust Street Columbia, PA and is open seven days a week from 5:00 pm until 8:00 am, year-round.
