This ministry was started in 2012 with three feeding sites that provided 2,262 meals. Each succeeding year it has grown tremendously. Every Monday-Thursday during the summer school recess, Free Lunch for Kids provides a healthy meal to any child 18 and under in both Columbia and Oswego Village, a large majority of whom live below the poverty line. All meals are prepared in our certified kitchen at Columbia Dream Center.
The Columbia Shelter is located at Columbia Presbyterian Church, 360 Locust Street Columbia, PA and is open seven days a week from 5:00 pm until 8:00 am, year-round. Sleeping facilities, an evening meal, and a light breakfast are provided for the guests. Showers and laundry facilities are also available to guests.
Guests of the Shelter are assisted through our Restart Day Center to find the connections they need to transition from homelessness to independence.
– The Shelter is open to adults 18 and over
– No violent or sexual offenders will be admitted
– Guests are encouraged to set and maintain goals and meet with staff weekly
– We reserve the right to deny admission to visibly intoxicated guests
– Premises under 24-hour video surveillance
Soup Kitchen – Free meals are served Monday-Thursday from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Community Meals – Served at the 4th Street Cafe on the first and last Sunday of each month. Doors open at 4:30 pm, meal served from 5:00 – 6:30 pm.
Food Pantry – Tuesday evenings from 5:00 – 6:30 pm and Wednesday mornings from10-11am. Anyone in need is welcome!
Fresh Express – Penn Medicine/LG Health offers Fresh Express at our location the 3rd Friday of each month from 3:00 – 4:30pm.
Satellite Pantries -4th Monday St. Peter’s Apartments* 1-2pm, 4th Tuesday Trinity House* 1-2pm, 4th Thursday 4-6pm Oswego Village

The Clothing Bank is the ministry that started it all! An amazing staff and volunteers provide free gently-worn clothing as well as new socks and undergarments to individuals and families in need.
Monday mornings 9 – 11 am
Tuesday evenings 5 – 6:30pm

Our Restart Day Center is located at Columbia Presbyterian Church, 360 Locust Street Columbia, PA 17512 and is open Monday-Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm. The Day Center is open to Shelter guests as well as the community where our staff will provide assistance in connecting them to resources.

Power Packs (weekend meals for kids) are available by registration online. Pick up is at St. John’s Lutheran Church from 3:05pm – 3:45pm and Our Lady of the Angels on Thursdays at the end of the school day.
